Two weeks ago I had my first outdoor market with Craft Markets Australia, a local market organiser, up at The Briars Homestead in Mt Martha.
It was an exciting day – new market, new people to meet, and new market holders to befriend and learn from. Also – it was only the second time my daughter Cailee and I had put up the new gazebo we had bought to use at the markets we attend.
It took us about fifteen minutes to set it up the first time, at home in the courtyard, but we did really well on the day – we had it set up within five minutes – however as we were putting it up we realised we had forgotten the weights for each leg – so I had a mad dash home to pick those up and get back before the market officially opened!
It is a very basic set up we plan on improving as each market goes, but not bad for a first time.
The tutus are my daughters.
We’re hoping that by the next market, we’ll actually have the banner up as our advertising!
